  • Patricia Marlin Patricia Marlin, Owner
    Pat Marlin founded Business Technology Solutions, LLC in Connecticut in 2005. 

    She has worked for large consumer packaged goods companies such as Kraft Foods where she was the Director of Internet Technologies for the E-Commerce Division.
    With  technology responsibility for:
    -  more than 35 brand sites
    -  strategic alliances
    -  technical partnerships
    -  technical training
    -  site measurement and reporting.

    She lead the implementation of technologies for:
    -  personalization
    -  collaborative filtering
    -  wireless applications.

    Her experience at Kraft also included Electronic Marketing systems, Market Research and Analytics Systems, Sales and Promotions Systems, Executive Reporting Systems and Syndicated Data Research and Systems.

    Pat Marlin also brings experience from small businesses as well. Pat served as the Chief Technology Office at AHAGroup, Inc., a direct marketing company that included the businesses The American Homeowners Association and American Health Association.

    While there she was responsible for:
    -  design, development and implementation of email marketing systems
    -   customer acquisition programs
    -   campaign analysis
    -   secure billing systems
    -   campaign optimization programs
    -   customer service interfaces
    -   financial interface systems
    -   fulfillment systems 
    -   corporate intranet

    Pat received her MBA with a concentration in MIS from Iona College. She is the recipient of numerous awards such as the Kraft Superior Achievement Award, President's Club, Philip Morris Chairman's Award and more. She has been an invited speaker to the American Management Association and the Grocery Manufacturers Association and is media trained.

    She is one of the founders of the Working Women's Forum a non-profit women's networking group in western Connecticut. She is currently a board member and the president of the organization.

    Steve Marlin began his career as a scientist doing drug discovery research in immunology and virology for Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals.


    Steve then switched his focus to the business side of the company and became involved in Business Development (in-licensing and divestitures).  

    For more than ten years, Steve worked in the marketing arena ultimately becoming responsible for Marketing Research, Business Development, Competitive Intelligence, Forecasting, Government Affairs and E-Business as the Vice President of Marketing Services.

    Steve joined Business Technology Solutions in 2014. Steve applied his marketing and advertising experience to the online world and is certified by Google in Adwords Search Advertising. He has continued his interest in analytics and marketing, turning to the online world's wealth of data, and the ability to use that data to maximize the impact of marketing campaigns.

    Steve received his B.S. in Microbiology  from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN.  He received his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor),  and did his post doctoral work at  the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston).  He holds numerous awards from Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, including two President's Awards.

    Steve uses his free time to volunteer with the local food pantry and has been a judge at the Connecticut Science & Engineering Fair.
